To Franca and James's Family and Friends

Back in 2006 I was involved in a scripture study group at St. Michael's Parish on 23rd Street called Verbum Dei. James was a regular and a very welcome presence. His hunger for the Word of God was palpable and heartening. And his insights were helpful and very much his own. We were all lucky to have his participation.

Also, I told a friend from 25th and the Boulevard that he worked at Three Brothers and she said he always gave her and her son a very friendly welcome.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to make the wake today or the funeral tomorrow, but I am there in spirit, and James's dear soul will be in my thoughts and prayers. He is now with the Lord whom he so loved. Requiescat in pace.
