Jovita Rosario (nee: Melendez) passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at her residence, with her loving family at her side. Born in Puerto Rico, she was a Bayonne resident for 39 years. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Rosario is survived by her beloved husband, Juan Rosario; her loving children, Victor Rosario, Susy Barragan, Maria Villegas, Raquel Ramos, Sonia Picart and Iris Segura; her 16 adoring grandchildren; and her 12 cherished great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her beloved son, Jose Luis Rosario.
The funeral will be conducted by Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc. (854 Avenue C) on Saturday, July 2, 2016. A funeral Mass will be held at Blessed Miriam Teresa Parish at St. Mary, Star of the Sea Church at 9:30 a.m. followed by interment at Bayview Cemetery, Jersey City. Visitation will be held on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
