Charles Joseph Godlewski, Sr., 65, of Jersey City, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 8, 2016. Born in Jersey City, he was a resident for most of his life.
Charles was a Project Manager for Nynex in New York City. He was a football player at Marist High School, went on to play at Jersey City State College and also played semi-professionally. He loved fishing and was an avid New York Giants fan. He was also involved in the Greenville American Little League.
Charles is survived by his loving children, Charles Joseph Godlewski, Jr., and his wife, Erin, and Nicole Ross, and her husband, Bill; his beloved mother, Sophie Godlewski (nee: Jeleniewicz); his adoring grandchildren, Connor and Ciara Ross, and Isabella and Cooper Godlewski; his dear brother, Walter Godlewski; and many loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his loving father, Walter; and his dear brothers, Mark and Tommy.
