Jane (Drazga) Miralewich

Jane Miralewich, the loving mother of Michael Miralewich and Kathleen Ann Miralewich (Nichols), died peacefully on Sunday, November 27, 2016, at Harborview Nursing Home in Jersey City, New Jersey.   

Jane was 90 years old at the time of her death and led a long, productive and fruitful life.  She was a genuine coal miner’s daughter, born in 1926 and raised in Republic, Pennsylvania as one of 14 children born to Andrew and Nellie Drazga. 

As a young woman she moved first to Chicago and later to New York where she was married to her beloved husband, the late John Miralewich. She raised her children in Bayonne, NJ, where she resided and worked for many decades, being an inspiration to all who knew her, and adding joy and optimism to each life she touched.   
The funeral will be conducted by Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 30th, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, December 1, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.
