Robert E. Schaible, 61, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at Jersey Medical Center. Born in Bayonne, he was a lifelong resident.
Robert was the Tax Assessor for the City of Bayonne for 23 years, then moved up to Deputy Tax Administrator of Hudson County for 14 years.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Laura (nee: Kline); his loving daughters, Caitlyn and Elizabeth; his dear sister, Catherine Farley (William); several cherished nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, “Duke.” He was predeceased by his dear parents, Catherine (nee: Lee) and Edward Schaible, and his beloved brother, Thomas (surviving wife Linda).
The funeral will be conducted by Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc. on Saturday, March 21, 2015. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Andrew the Apostle Church at 10:30 a.m. followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 20, 2015 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
