Walter H. Snarke, 64, of Bayonne, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2015, at Bayonne Medical Center with his loving family at his bedside.
Born in Bayonne, he was a lifelong resident. Mr. Snarke was an electrician with the IBEW, Local #164 for 35 years, before retiring. He was a member of the Bayonne Art Circle. He was an admirer of art, and loved painting in oils.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Judith Snarke (nee: Staunch); his loving children, Kevin Snarke (Tina Burns) and Beth Snarke (Mario Bonito); his cherished granddaughter, Annabelle Snarke; his devoted mother Frances Snarke (nee:Nowicki); his dear cousins, Irene and John Wiecheitk; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Walter Snarke, Sr. and his sister, Patricia Ulia.
The funeral will be conducted from the Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc., 854 Avenue C, Bayonne on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be offered at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:00 a.m. Cremation will follow at Rosehill Crematory, Linden, NJ. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 & 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital. (Envelops are available at the funeral home.)
