Rest in Peace, John. I will miss your cheerful company and friendship. Tomorrow, Past Grand Marshals of the Bayonne St. Patrick Parade Committee will pay special and well deserved tribute to you. Due to health issues I can not be there in person. Just the same, I will join my voice to theirs from here. I will continue to keep you and your family in my prayers. Ave atque vale. Carmine and Anna Marie Borzelli

My deepest sympathies to the whole Hurley family. My thoughts go back to when I was a kid playing stick ball, football, etc at Henry Harris schoolyard and St Andrew churchyard. Even tho John was 4 yes older, he & his friends, including Jimmy Dwyer, gave us little guys the utmost respect and the room to Play. I will never forget that. And years later joining Irelands32 with John & Leo. Rest now, John.,

Very sad to hear about John, my deepest condolences to Lorraine and the Hurley family. John was truly one of the nice guys with always a smile on his face. I know his is up there with brother Barry and the Wilson brothers singing "Surfer Girl".
RIP John.
